About Financial Trader Magazine

Vol. 14 — Spring 2026 — Final Edition. The 2011-2026 archive of independent professional trading journalism. 14 volumes. Archive 2011-2026.

Financial Trader Magazine was an independent publication covering the world of professional and retail trading from 2011 to 2026. Founded in 2011 with the mission of profiling the strategies, stories, and performance of the world's most notable traders, FTM published 14 volumes over 15 years before concluding its run with the Spring 2026 edition.

Vol. 14 (Spring 2026) was the magazine's final published edition. The full 2011-2026 archive remains preserved at financialtradermagazine.com as a definitive record of independent professional trading in that era. No further editorial output is planned beyond date-stamped corrections to existing articles.

Our editorial team brought decades of combined experience in financial journalism, market analysis, and direct trading experience. We believed that the trading industry deserved the same quality of investigative journalism that covers other sectors of finance — and that traders deserved a publication that held itself to the highest standards of accuracy, verification, and editorial independence.

What We Covered

FTM's coverage centred on four pillars across its 14 volumes: trader profiles, annual rankings, strategy analysis, and industry features. We wrote long-form, narrative-driven journalism about the people who move markets — their backgrounds, their methods, their philosophies, and their verified results. We did not publish daily market commentary, product reviews, or promotional content.

Our annual Top 10 Traders ranking, published each year from 2023-2026 (the final edition), became the industry's most referenced assessment of independent trading talent. Each ranking was compiled using independently audited performance data, risk-adjusted metrics, and a proprietary assessment framework developed in consultation with academic researchers and industry practitioners.

Our Standards

Every performance claim published in Financial Trader Magazine is independently verified. We accept no payment for editorial coverage. We have no commercial relationships with the traders or firms we cover. Our rankings cannot be influenced by advertising, sponsorship, or public relations. These standards are non-negotiable and have been maintained without exception since our founding.

We believe that the trading industry's credibility crisis — fuelled by unverified claims, fake track records, and marketing masquerading as education — can only be addressed by publications willing to demand proof. We demand proof.
