A falsifiable macro thesis and its successor versions
Write mechanism, evidence horizon and contradiction before reinterpreting an unfavorable release.
Make the claim capable of being wrong
A thesis should name the proposed mechanism, scope and observations that would challenge it. Broad statements such as policy matters are too elastic to evaluate. Specify the actual series, geography, information cutoff and horizon. Separate the economic mechanism from the market-price implication and any trade implementation. Each transition needs its own evidence. The original macro-thesis chapter remains available; this extension shows how to retain revised versions when the source or argument changes. No authentic strategy experiment, forecast fit or official release collection is supplied by the magazine.
Freeze contradiction and review rules
Write what would count against the thesis before inspect the next release. A predeclared review point differs from continually extend the horizon until one favorable event appears. If observations are missing or revised, explain which rule applies rather than choose after viewing the outcome. A null source field cannot become an assumed supportive fact. The authored dossier keeps availability and contradiction requests explicit. It supplies no pristine dated preregistration, only teaching steps. A manually typed date is not proof that the original plan existed before outcome access.
A successor can be reasonable without vindicating the original
New information may justify changing the mechanism, relevant series or horizon. Give the new thesis its own version and preserve the earlier conclusion. A source correction should identify what changed and which claims depend on it. Do not transfer a favorable earlier label automatically to a materially different argument. Retained failures can help readers understand the process rather than damage its credibility. This is editorial version ownership, not a claim FTM independently replicated a macro trading strategy or tested every proposed interpretation against real returns.
Keep the financial policy outside narrative improvisation
A story about growth or inflation does not choose an entry, quantity, exit and risk rule. Real instrument work still requires the full canonical factory and independent master with source identity, raw causal entry ranking and one native exit retained. A revised story does not authorize reopening exit selection or change the established hypothetical fill convention. Production adds its actual cloud artifact and subscriber route. This educational edition completes none of those absent financial objects. It documents the next required source rather than invent a completed model or profitable response.
Authored editorial case
Authored case: draft THESIS-A calls the original-base headline acceleration. After a baseline revision, THESIS-B narrows the claim to compatible-period movement. The register preserves both and records that no authentic economic source or evaluation exists. That revision improves the question without proving the earlier thesis succeeded. A real author would need the original dated plan, source versions and predeclared contradiction rule before describe a tested forecasting method.
| Object | Record | Scope |
|---|---|---|
| Mechanism | Named causal proposition | Not a direction slogan |
| Horizon | Declared interval | Not endlessly extended |
| Contradiction | Prior rule | Not selected afterward |
| Successor | New identity | Not retroactive success |
